Our Fiscal-Year-End Appeal

We learned from noted neurologist Dr. John Murphy that the work we’re doing at Jericho - centering around providing stable, loving, caring relationships for the at-risk youth we serve - has the capacity to literally rewire their brains and help them overcome the traumas and challenges they face.

Watch a short version of his keynote address HERE.

You have helped them rebuild their sense of confidence in themselves ...You’ve allowed them to resurrect a sense of trust, that there are people who aren’t going to leave them. You have reignited their sense of security... But most importantly, I think, what you’ve done, what this program does, is you reconnect children and young adults to the capacity to love.”
— Dr. John Murphy

Your gift to our Appeal helps us continue this life-transformational work among the 400+ youth we serve in our core academic and mentoring programs, and ALSO provides funds necessary to fight food insecurity in our city via our pantry and Weekender Bag program.

Here is what your gift can provide:

$20 - supports relationship-building mentor-mentee activities

$36 - provides 24 meals a month (six per weekend) for a student who may not eat when school is not giving free breakfast and lunch

$42 - non-perishable food for two families for a week

$110 - a week’s gas for one van (we have 3), which picks up students for our after-school program

$200 - allows 15 students to participate in social-emotional wellness group for a month
